T dead end anchorage

Tpt multiforce Dead End ( or non-stressing ) Anchorage is used when a tendon is stressed from one end only. In the majority of cases the non-stressing anchorage is accessible and so the Live End anchorage is used as passive end, the wedges being lightly tapped into position with the aid of a piece of steel tubing. During stressing, these wedges can be seen to pull into the anchor head progressively as load is applied to the other end of the tendon.

As long as the non-stressing anchorage is not accessible, a buried dead end anchorage is required. Tpt had its PATENT spring-hold cover plate, which is made of transparent plastic to insulate wedges from cements, but to vision whether wedges and strands are properly installed. And the springs keep the wedges in correct positions before stressing. The accessories can be easily assembled with a Live End anchorage to become a buried Dead End anchorage.
